Videoholica Festival was invited to take part at the THE LOOP FESTIVAL 2011 (Barcelona, Spain). The invited international festivals will participate in the Screen from Barcelona under the presentation methodology Pecha-Kucha entitled Speaker’s Corner. The event will take place the 20th and 21st of May at the MediaLounge, located at the basement floor of the Hotel Catalonia Ramblas, where the LOOP Fair takes place.

The 4th edition of the VIDEOHOLICA INTERNATIONAL VIDEO ART FESTIVAL is open for 2011 video art entries for this year’s festival.
The theme of VIDEOHOLICA 2011 is free.
There is no submission fee.
VIDEOHOLICA 2011 open call will run until
30 of June 2011 and all applications are very welcome!

20 March 2011, Varna, Bulgaria

On Sunday, 20th March 2011, at 5 p.m., a workshop-action "Crane from the East" (after the idea of Yovo 
Panchev) took place in Graffit Gallery. The event is aimed to attract the attention of Varna cultural community and to encourage them to express their moral support to the 
distressed Japanese people! Similar action took place in Sofia on March 19, 2011.
 
In Japan, after the atomic bomb air-raids of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, an ancient tradition that if someone folds 1000 origami paper cranes, his/ her most cherished wishes will come true and he/ she will enjoy a long and happy life, became popular. In these times of difficulties for Japan and the Japanese people, make a symbolic gesture of support joining the action ‘Crane from the East’.  Fold one of the 1000 paper cranes that will be made in this particular day. These origami paper 
cranes will be sent as a symbolic gesture of the Varna citizens’ compassion to S-AIR in Sapporo, http://www.s-air.org (a (NGO) non-governmental cultural organization)
